64 bit or 32 bit for collaborative project?

Hi There,
I'm working on a collaborative project using Cubase, and probably purchasing Komplete 6 (mainly for Battery and Kontact). I've just puchased a new laptop with Win 7 Home Premium 64bit, and the other guy has the same setup but with a slightly more powerful processor.

I was planning on installing everything as 64 bit (Cubase and Kontact), but the guy I'm working with has installed 32bit Cubase because of problems with the 64bit version of a plugin he was using a while back. So I have a few questions:

- If I install Komplete as 64bit, will everything actually be 64bit?
- Am I likely to notice a significant performance improvement by installing everything 64 bit?
- Are there any known bugs with Komplete 64bit (which don't exist in the 32bit version)?
- If I can't persuade the other guy to go 64bit, will we be able to exchange projects ok between our laptops without any problems (i.e. without losing the settings, instruments and effects on any of our tracks)?
