Hi everyone, I've got £88 in E-Vouchers expiring at the end of Dec 2014.

As you are limited on what you can spend them on, it looks like I will get 2 x Machine Expansion Packs.

    What would you recommend?

I'm listening to the audio clips on NI site, Arcane Attic kind of appeals to me, but I'm open to any suggestions.

BTW - I'm not confining my self to any particular style, I'd just like some interesting noizzes! :D

    thanks!

Imo, the best expansion packs are resonant blaze, paradise rinse, pulswerk and halcyon sky. No matter which style's you're into, with those expansions you're properly equipped for any EDM related genre.

I don't think expansion packs are worth it. They are a passing novelty.

    Isn't the sale still on?

I'd get Molekular, 50% off today?

Something you can get your teeth into and can transform all your current stuff, from what I've seen and hear, it's very impressive.

+1 for Molekular but e-vouchers can't be used for it during the sale, it's still an incredibly deep and fun effects suite. As far as Maschine packs go, Helios Ray is by far my favorite but it depends on what you're into making. Circuit Halo is a very close second, followed by True School, Conant Gardens, and Electric Vice.

Yeah - If I had a choice I'd use the e-vouchers to upgrade to Complete Ultimate, but I can't. Also I can find KU for £40 less than NI want in their shop, so it's a waste of vouchers. The Machine packs are the best option, AFAIKS.

Tbh the first few are my favourites....some of the more recent ones seem more like demos to show what maschine is capable of

I think vintage heat and true school are hard to beat

    +1 for True School

I'm also partial to the Marble Rims expansion, but I mainly do hip-hop and I am from Cali, so there is some biased opinion there.

Lazer Dice is cool for sub basses and drums, Paradise Rinse is cool for modern house style bassline patches and and Resonate Blade is cool for Pads if my memory serves me.

I'd agree - also if you look at the file size, some of the earlier ones are over 1GB, the new ones are 100MB.

I listened to all your suggestions - so thanks everyone. It was hard to choose, and on a different day I might have chosen others, but I also looked at the value for money, and got some variety, as I ended up with 4 packs.

It seems you can only use 1 voucher per item. I forgot one of my vouchers was for £44, so one Machine Pack was free, the other 3 were £22 each. Not too bad I suppose, though I doubt I would have bought them otherwise.

In the end I went for:

    MARBLE RIMS
    CIRCUIT HALO
    TRUE SCHOOL
    PARADISE RINSE

Thanks again everyone for your input!
