_How do u monitor potential cuts in kontakt 1.5

hi there
Can anyone tell me how im to monitor potential individual sample cuts in Kontakt 1.5 please.Dont know were to make the cuts if i cant hear what im doing.

I want to hear each individual measure between the locaters before i make the cuts to put it another way.

If you have selected a loop, then you listen to that selection by clicking the second playbutton "loopplay" or whatever it´s called.

 

When i creat the measures in the beat machine of kontakt,like recycle,i would like to hear each measure before i make the cuts.I know how to monitor the whole sample with the speaker icon above the window but i cant work out how to monitor each measure before the slicing.

Is everyone out there cutting their samples blindly ??? Cause no one seems to be able to answer this question in any forum i have posted.

I think thats a feature for Intakt only. Don´t have kontakt app in front of me, but you could try to do it as with intakt. Click on the upper area of the slice and it should playback. If not, then it´s not possible as of this date.

When you say "measure", do you mean 1 Bar of music or are you talking about the peak information you want to slice?

 

This is possible.

Generally, when in sample editor, you can set the loop by dragging with the right mouse button.

If you do this in Beat Machine, the loop will "snap to slice".

There is a small icon with a loop and a speaker right above the sensitivity slider. If you turn this on, you will preview the loop of the sample (until you turn it off)

So, to preview a slice: Make the slice a loop by dragging right mouse button inside the slice, and press the "preview loop" button.

Granted it not as elegant as others, but possible, and quite effective once you know it.
