I have just used Bandstand on a friends PC and I must say I am very impressed by it, however before I go ahead and purchase it I have a few questions.

    1. I am a full time in the sixth form (UK) however I no longer study music, will I still be eligible for an educational license?

    2. Are any major updates to the software imminent, ie should I wait for these to be released?

    3. I sometimes used Sibelius 3 for compositions, is it possible to use Bandstand in conjunction with this software?

    Regards,
    Leo Kent

    1. Yes -- educational sales do not require you to study music specifically, just that you are a student.

    2. The UB (universal binary) release is about to come out, however, if you buy Bandstand now, you'll automatically be eligible for it.

    3. Not sure, but I think the answer is yes. Check with the Sibelius people on this. My hunch is: if Kontakt works, Bandstand will.

    Thanks for your help ddas.

Skyline: universal binary refers to an application which will run natively on both PowerPC and the new Intel Mac computers.

UB - universal binary is the format needed for Pentium based Apple Macs
