    Hey everyone,

I've created a guide to creating a Traktor 3 now playing overlay for OBS on MacOS. You can use this guide to get the track information out of a Traktor and into apps like OBS - but it can also be used to display Traktor song information in other apps as well.

    Hope you find it useful!

Here's the a link to the guide: https://medium.com/@chris.russell/a...nd-other-services-macos-monterey-f66cfe702ed3

I can't remember which solution I tried but with a little persistence, I got it to work but the reality is, you're installing a tonne of stuff on your Mac that's way bigger than the Traktor application itself just to get the current playing track. It's all a bit ridiculous. I do wish Native Instruments would come up with a far simpler solution, even if it's just writing the current playing track to a text file.

Is what it is mate. No way around it.

I also wish it was easier.

The solution above is pretty straight forward and actually pretty lightweight, but yeah, be better if there was a simple integration which would just work without needing Icecast…

    Agreed
Another example, in my ddj-1000 bome mapping I had to make a 84 page installation guide

    Step by step with screenshots.

Reason: I get the current needle position using the obsolete denon HC3900 mapping
(Which, amazingly, is a second method to get the track title)
