    Hey all,
Been out of mixing for a while but just picked myself up a 4D (being shipped at the moment).
Just wondering how others have their Traktor screens set up for use with the 4D and any other tips/tricks/layouts.
I'm new to Traktor pretty much as well.

I'm looking to control 4 decks, a couple of effects and also slave the Traktor clock to the 4D midi clock.

Anyway, just hoping for some tips from some of you out there

    Cheers

    Steve G

It depends from screen resolution...so when ur pc/mac have enough resolution u don´t need to switch the layout.

    It's a 15" laptop @ 1680x1050, so there's plenty of real estate

OK with resoltion u will get
4 Deck maximazed (Advanced and without Advanced Mode)
    4 FX Units (Global header)
    Crossfader
    little browser Window

So u only need 3 layouts
    1. for FX Units
    2. For Recorder and Metronome
    3. Browser Only or min. Decks for a bigger browser window

In normal use i need only 1 and 3

So here have a look for this display resolution:

search for '4D midi' mappings on here and you'll find a few decent ones to get you started.

i run a 4D but I need to do some re-mapping as it is only really set up for 2 decks. I need 4. Must do re-mapping.....!
