Let me say, I was so angry with Native Instruments with GR4 that I didn't even demo 5. I upgraded in July knowing that container was successful.

I love the job NI did creating it and wouldn't change a thing about the functionality with the exception of daverlee's ideas for handling banks..However, there are a couple of simple interface adjustments that I would like to see implemented. These are just minor details but, as they say, the devil's in the details!

1, After using it for a few months now, I always go to the advanced controls drop down button wanting to open the Container. It doesn't feel natural to go to the assigned button to open it, I just can't get used to it. Opening Container is more important than opening the advanced controls.

I'd like the functionality of the advanced control and open container controls reversed,

2, The cabinet style open button under the controls, I cant understand why it was made to move to the bottom when opened rather than either being at both at the top and bottom or just staying at the top like on the cabinets. I'd like that changed.

3, This one could be implemented on all components, but most important for Container. Screen real estate is the most important issues addressed with Container and was previously a big problem with GR. Yet, there's still room for improvement

When several Containers are minimized to save more screen real estate, you have no way of knowing which one is which. I'd like the preset drop-down visible when minimized. This would be an aesthetic improvement as well, minimized components are plain and boring looking as well as completely non-function. I think the overall appearance and workflow of GR would be greatly improved if this was added to all components with available presets.

If other users agree or disagree, please post your vote, esp. for number 1, some people might prefer it the way it is.

RE #1, I think it is more consistent to keep the advance controls in the drop down all the way to the right, similar to the modifiers and the advanced rig kontrol window. That said, I also get confused which opens what. I agree with the idea to make it like a matched cab, where the open/close arrow stays at the top of the container drawer. If that is implemented, then you really don't need the other open/close arrow next to the "X" at all.
