Can someone tell me why all my sounds just lost themselves in Kore? Now I have to locate like all the Reaktor sounds and some from other plugins.. others work fine tho! Its weird and all my soundpack tags disappeared too.. what is up with this thing? I love NI but their stuff does some funky crap. Can anyone help?

Start up Kore as a standalone and do a full scan from the options/database page.

Rescan your plugins from the options/plugins page. If that doesn't work, contact support; you've got other issues.

I don't understand the question? Do you mean you have to locate sounds that are similar to Reaktor sounds?

    Uhhh..

Uhh no.. Kore holds sounds from all of my NI Plugins.. and the Reaktor ones and some of the Kontakt ones are constantly missing.. they show up in the damn browser and then when Kore says it can't find them it says that they should be in ...blah... so i check and they ARE in ....blah... ... so wtf?

    Tech support?

What did Tech Support say about the issue?

Ah! I see. It was the "LIKE all the Reaktor sounds" that threw me. I wasn't sure why 'like' should be there as it seems to serve no purpose.

    Ah- OK.

Your library paths are set incorrectly in the individual plugins. With Reaktor, start it up in standalone and put the proper path to the ensembles, etc. in the last page of Reaktor's preferences. Close the preferences with the x inside the window, and not the one on the titlebar.

For Kontakt, make sure the path to the Kontakt library's listed under load/import in Kontakt's options. Once again, do it in standalone.

Reboot after you've corrected the paths and start up Kore as a standalone. Do a full scan from the options/database page. Done.

    Thanks

Ok Thanks ew, that sounds like it will work.. I'll try it as soon as I get back to the studio...
As for Tech Support, they will not respond to that question. They answer all my other questions, even ones I asked in the same email(s) as that question, but they always avoid that one lol... anyway, hopefully this will work, thanks.

Another thing to remember; if you're on a Mac, use the VST versions of NI plugins inside Kore.

    Why VST?

    Hello ew,

Why should I use VST instead of AU? I've only installed the AU versions of every single plugin in the Komplete package. thanx in advance !

Because Kore prefers the VST versions of your NI plugins. Why? Easier cross-platform compatibility.
