A quick question for those who have access to 2.0 already.

I know there are a few guys on here who have access to the 2.0 software. I was hoping someone could let me know if older projects are still fully compatible with 2.0 what with the rewrite etc.

I have a bunch of 'nearly finished' projects I would like to load up and finish as i'm learning the new bits and bobs in 2.0 that's all. It will be kind of a buzz kill if the old projects won't load or load with lots of crazy missing parts or something drastic like that.

I wouldnt doubt that NI would port our old work into the next update. If they didnt allow us to bring existing projects back into the new software then i think that would be pretty insane on their parts.

One of my main concerns though, is the audio Engine. I really love the particular sound that we have in 1.8.2 so i hope its 1.8.2 and then some you know?

 

Well if you remember when they change the sound engine on kontact and massive then a lot of the projects wouldn't love those won't VST and it was a pain.. but I think they will have that worked out for us.
