one thing I really like about the clip is that the dsp dev comes across as a very sincere person, that is something that I really appreciate, thats the type of personality you want working on something like this as opposed to some goofy oddball. I like level heads on maschine and she seems objective too.. very good Ni

He didn't bash any individual, just questioned why the basic things that so many people were looking for, took so long to materialize (and unless one is a passive fool, it's obvious there's still quite a ways to go...)... You seem to have a huge chip on your shoulder when it comes to invis... you should ease back in your constantly confrontational manner.

I would have really liked to see the sequencer don in that interview though, whomever that is their thoughts would have definitely been a good listen.

hey ni since you're listening how cool would it be to have one person at a time sit down and talk directly to us about there thoughts, like who ever is dev of the sequencer just one on one with the camera for a few minutes, no interviewer just the dev.
cause this vid experience was very positive.

Great vid and I think it shows they do pay attention to the forums and their customer base. I find that encouraging.

It's good to put a face to some of the people behind NI/Maschine. Gotta say the Studio overview is giving me some bad GAS!

for sure. it was good to see these two but for this particular instrument I would have thought the main person for the sequencer and the main person for the sampler would have been the guest of honors.

I actually enjoyed the DSP dev's comments. I have been in on hardware development and software issues (industrial equipment not musical) but the DSP stuff was new to me.

I also liked that the DSP dev was included... Although I wish they would have let her talk more about Matlab. We use Matlab quite frequently in university, but most of the audio related 'labs' they have us do are shallow and boring.

Thanks for the vid.. Cool.. what cought my attention was how Florian talked about the modular structure of the rewritten 2.0 code and how this makes it easier to add new stuff in the future.. " This is only the beginning of something"...

    I'll dream on.

i also liked the but about Kore2 style Morphing

i suppose the most encouraging thing is that Maschine is a long term project for NI.

Yeah sounds like they've laid the framework for adding all the stuff that hasn't been added yet. I'm curious why they removed the navigation buttons, seems you can hide the sequencer to make the pattern grid full screen any more. :(

Yeah I miss the Nav stuff too... Hopefully it will be coming back.
From they way they spoke, it does seem like this is very much a foundation upon which they are planning to add the things that'll fulfill Maschines potential. They both seemed very sharp, and aware of the wishes of the user base.
