just beware, because if your computer is 64 bit, macprovideos WILL NOT work! and the company that makes the videos have no plans to change that problem; believe me, i know this from experience

well, then you can't go wrong with this one. it's the best tutorial about Absynth afaik.
it basically explains everything you need to know about this amazingly deep monster of a plugin.

This is a lot cheaper to buy on the Mac App Store and even cheaper again on the iPhone/iPad Touch store.

They've also done a Komplete tutorial which is great value (£2.99 on my iPhone!). I'm definitely getting this one, though, having just entered the Absynth world!

Started on this tutorial yesterday and im very impressed with the quality, Scott Freiman is very very professional at what he´s doing. This tutorial is good at all levels. I really hope Scott decides to make an advanced Reaktor 5 tutorial.

I already knew about MPV while looking for some Logic tutorials, but hadn't actually registered there even was a NI section :p

Lots of excellent tutorials there. Buying the app versions for mobile devices is handy if you haven't got a desk full of screens (you slacker), but I don't really see the need to buy HD downloads. If you're having issues viewing them, get ClickToPlugin. It looks for an alternative form of video which might work better for some. I'm seeing both variants just fine in 64-bit Safari using that.

Do you know if the resolution is smaller if you buy it from the App Store? Why would it be cheaper? Thanks!

Basically I think it is because it is on a smaller screen. BUT if you go into the app itself on your computer the original movie files can simply be dragged out and watched in the same way anything else can.

    Need help installing Komplete 8!

Just came to this forum because I'm having major problems installing my new Komplete8! Was so excited to try it out today but I've been trying to install it for the past 5 hours.

I got half way through and the disk just spit out of my macbook - I still have room on my computer so that's not the case. So I shut the computer off and re-installed from the beginning. This time, when I got to the BATTERY3, it asked me for a Password and agree to the license (which it didn't ask me before), and then it said installation compete.

When I went to install the other program KONTACT DISCS A-G or so... each disc is showing ZERO GB. Shows NOTHING on the disc...

    Can someone please help me?

    Thanks so much!
    Tamara

Hey tamara - why not (gasp) start the process again. SOmetimes it takes a second time to do right. If it spits it out again then you know you have a problem.

I've watched the whole tutorial and have to say it is amazing! I'd also recommend buying it from the MacApp Store since it is cheaper. The quality is a little lower but it's still definitely watchable.

    Komplete 8 - thank you!

THANK YOU for your help & suggestions! The discs were actually faulty, went to the store the next day and had install new discs which then worked! Be careful with the glitchy batch... guess these things could happen but after downloading for a few hours it's not fun :) So now just working my way around the program... fun fun!
