I am starting to come to terms with the fact that Windows Vista has ruined my life. A new laptop preloaded with Vista and with good specs refuses to deliver audio through either of my 2 (otherwise reliable) Firewire soundcards.

So having finally resigned myself to walking away from Firewire, I'm now wanting reassurance that USB 2.0 won't reject me in the same way.

I do get a sense that many of the Firewire issues are not shared by USB 2. But until I try the AK1, I won't know for certain. I do worry about the way USB shares it's resources and wondered what others here have experienced in terms of things like MIDI keyboards, mice etc etc interfering with the audio?

I want to believe that the bandwidth of USB 2 allows for happy coexistence ... I'd love someone to tell me it'll all be fine ... no tears ...

    Many thanks
