I bought the Spektral Delay for Protools, but haven't used on any of my projects yet. Why? Because as soon as I instantiate it, it makes small clicks and pops. Even when I'm not playing the session it still pops away!!? I have G4 400 mhz w. 760 Mb ram, Mix+ running ProTools 5.2 I have lots of ram allocated to the DAE and protools, so that shouln't be a problem. It is possible to get rid of nearly all of the clickin and poppin' by reducing the "band" setting to the lowest setting, but that makes the effect sound very dull. I would like to run it using at least 128 bands, so what am I doing wrong here...?

    Hello,

most probably Spektral uses up to much CPU from your G4 400. To use Spektral on this machine you should reduce the number of host-processed Plug-Ins as far as possible (which are HTDM and RTAS plugs).

Please notice that Spektral Delay is a Realtime Effects Processor. Though it is highly optimized it may overload a G 4 400 earlier than one would expect. On my machine (also 400) I can run one PRO-52, B4, one Battery (using about 12 voices) and a Spektral at 128 bands. But then the CPU will be maxed out. Please let us know if you are finding different results...

    ...we need your feedback!

    Thanks!

    Best Regards

P.S.: it is currently not recommended to use HTDM and RTAS Plug-ins in a session at the same time, since this may cause random clicks.
