    Hello,
after i installed the update v1.1, kontakt 4.1 can play the old nki-Files wothout a problem.
But if i want to load the new v1.1 kits, i get an error message:
samples missing - AR60s_WALLPAPER_v1.1.png is missing (assumed in file Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkx). Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkx is there, but i think not updated. If i skipped this file, abbey road drums has image errors.
So what can i do? Meanwhile i completely reinstall abbey road 60 and 70, but i still have this problem

    regards
    Andreas

They work now, after i re-installed it.
But, Abbey Road Drums 60, they same error after the re-install as i mentioned it before. mmmhh, any ideas?

....I've had the same problem, not only that but many of the keys seem to trigger two sounds at once ie kick drum and cymbal, snare and tom, some sound great but I'm sure it's not meant to be that way.
What has happened to the graphics? There's no picture of the drum kit any more either!

Have uninstalled both versions and reinstalled 60s drums and they seem to be fine.

I am sorry to report that there is a bug with our current installer technology when it comes to content updates (like with the Abbey Road Drums) on some machines. We are currently looking into this.

The quick fix is: after running the update installer, go into the library folder and delete the "Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkc" or "Abbey Road 70s Drums_info.nkc" file (do NOT delete the accompanying .nkx file). Hopefully this will solve the problem.

I tried it (fresh install of Abbey Road 60, then update install, then delete AR60.nkc), but it still doesn't work. Same problem. Any idea?

Yes, but please don't hijack my thread, thanks...

In this case you should contact support. It is very likely that the info.nkx file that stores all of the scripts and picture files has not been replaced. Let them know this and they should be able to help you out somehow.

    Best of luck.

I am having a rather similar error.

Upon installing the update kontakt simply cannot find the libary.

Going on the relevant folder /Users/Shared/Abbey Road 60s Drums Library

The folder is marked with a little stop sign and apparently I don't have permissions to access it.

If I reinstall the 60s from the dvd ..the problem persists.

If I delete the library and reinstall , it works but ,of course, without the update.

    I am using an imac.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

I've had it with these kits!

I bought Abbey Roads 60's Drums back in January, and could never get them to load properly. Some sounds would load, others wouldn't.
After forgetting about them for a while, a week ago I decided to try again. Same problems... when loading I keep getting a "samples missing" message. I point to the folder where they should be, get a long search, and the same message pops up again. I've installed (which takes forever) and unistalled several times.
I spent $120 on these sounds, and have never been able to use them.
I'll never buy another NI release. I'm pissed, and I feel cheated.

Okay... after re-installing and re-registering the product, all seems well. Actually, I'm psyched about these sounds. The claps are great, and the random feature really breathes life into the groove.
The many hours it took to get things up and running were a major hassle, but these sounds seem to be worth it.
All is well here at Sonic Throne Productions...

Same problem here. This only occurs on the AR 60s kit but not with the AR 70s kit.

I deinstalled the 1.1 update on the 60s kit and than installed it again but to no avail.
Lets see what NI's support can do on that matter.

Can we Install NI soundpacks using the updater file without having to install anything from the disc?

AR 70s after the 1.1 udate plays two sounds on one note. AR 70s Graphics are always missing from the Libraries tab.

This is the same, i got first.
This is only an issue on some computers. With my new one, i got no problems.

Please contact a admin here via PM, the admin will send you the right "Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkx" file.
I replaced the new one with the old one.
    Then it works smoothly.
    Hope that helps.

Ok, here it goes. For quite some time I couldn't update AR 60s & AR 70s to version 1.1 , because the updater installed only the updated nki instruments but not the
    "Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkx & Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkc".

They weren't installed at all. So, as stubborn as I am to give up, especially as I received my AR Modern Drums which are sweeeet:D , I had an idea on how to solve this problem.

This solution is done manually since you have to open the 1.1 update installer with WinRar.:

Back up your old Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkx & Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkc" files. (just in case)

Open with WinRar, than doubleclick " Abbey Road 60s Drums 1.1 Setup PC.exe",

    than go to the following folders: -> data -> OFFLINE -> 9F8085F3 -> 92BE6E74

There you will find the necessary "Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkx & Abbey Road 60s Drums_info.nkc" files.

Extract this two files and replace the old ones with the new ones.

The same applies to the AR 70s.
    Back up Abbey Road 70s Drums_info.nkx & Abbey Road 70s Drums_info.nkc" files.
    (just in case)

Open with WinRar, than doubleclick " " Abbey Road 70s Drums 1.1 Setup PC.exe"
    than go to the following folders: -> data -> OFFLINE -> F64B7772 -> D22723E2

I hope this helps some othe poor souls out there.
And NI, please be so kind and replace the broken installer.

Cool tip. I also assume it is not updating because it sees the old files are already there but with a newer date. In theory, you may be able to back up the old file to another location and then delete it from the install location before updating.

Yes, thats a possibility. What I don't understand is, that this update is from June 2010
and that this issue is known by NI and it still is not adressed.
