Do you have all these options in the Kontakt 5 Player or do you have the full Kontakt?

fwiw just had my 60s drummer serial sent through - so it looks like it is eligible for the upgrade

Me too. I hope I can save the files that are different seperately because it's a 6.2GB file and I don't have a dual layer dvd burner. And I don't want 6.2GB installer files lying around on my system.

click the download link in the email you received. it will take you to a page that has the links for both mac and pc. click your desired link, and be prepared to wait awhile. i have my browser set so that i have to manually tell it where to save things.

after you download both files run the exe file (on the pc). best thing to do is let it install things based on NI's default. I didn't and had to install the update twice because the install folder was completely empty.

after you install, open the NI Service Center. it should "see" your drummer update. paste the serial number they gave you, and click OK or whatever it is. quit out of the service center and open your vst host.

    that's all i did.

Download Link for the 60s-Drummer-PC-iso doesn't contain the whole file :-(
Finished always at 2,3 GB -> but the file should be 6,2 GB

Trying to use this iso and run the ...setup pc.exe
causes a "Please run this installer from the original DVD" error.

What are you using to download your files? I used google Chrome, and the iso file took about an hour to download.

    Abbey Road Download

    Hi,
I got the email and the activation number, but when I went to the site and downloaded the package, for some reason I couldn't find any Mac installer. I promise I downloaded the the one for the Mac. All there was was a exe. installer which sure isn't going to work on a Mac. I went back and did it again and got the same package. Am I missing something here? Shouldn't there be the usual little mac installer along? Anyone run into this problem?
    Thanks

Everything worked over here. The Mac installer comes with an .exe file but mounting the iso gave access to a Mac installer.

You can install it next to the former product. I'll try if I can ditch the samples and let it use the former version but not right now. The former version has more preset kits but in the new one you can change settings to jazz/blues/rocknroll/soul/etc while using the kit, that's nice too. Grooves seem interesting.

I managed to run previous N.I. .iso files by using WinRar, if you have that on your system, it may be worth a try.

    http://www.rarlab.com/

Extract to a folder and run the installer from there.

It creates a .exe for the PC
a folder for the Mac install
    & folders for the content.

Try a Download Manager - e.g. DownThemAll in Firefox

Installed here with no problems. I far prefer this layout and the grooves are a bonus but the default kits don't sound as good to me. I know it's probably just the mixer but I've been twiddling away and I can't seem to replicate the default sounds of the previous version. Anyone else found this or have a solution?

.. should have added, I mean the Abbey Road 60s kit.
