    Hi guys,

I downloaded the trial version of massive X, and I try to use ith with Ableton 10 on WIndows 10. Live finds the plugin, and I can open the massive interface. The presets in Massive seem to get loaded too. But then, as soon as I try to interact with Massive X, ableton crashes. I have an AVX compatible CPU (i7), and I also tried to run ableton with my geforce, but the problem persists. It cant be a RAM problem either, i got 32 GB.

Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?
I m really a fan of Massive, and I d love to finally test massive X.

    cheers,

I have a MAC and the full version of Massive X. I just downloaded/installed Komplete 12 last night. Ableton Live 10 (10.1.14) couldn't scan the Massive X plugin upon launching the program. I tried to rescan within Ableton but that didn't seem to do anything. I attempted to drag the Massive X Audio Unit into a MIDI track and Live 10 completely crashes every time. Again, this is for the full version of Massive X with Komplete 12.

I am on a MAC running Mojave 10.14.6, 3.33 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon processor, 32 GB of RAM. I'll notify and send the crash report to Ableton as well.

Sounds like a bug if it is happening on PC and MAC with the trial and full versions of Massive X.

This was literally only the second audio unit I've ever attempted to load of Native Instruments ...not a great start ...especially after dropping $660 on Komplete 12.

    UPDATE:
Native Access said Massive X was "installed" but upon reinstalling I got the "must have an AVX compatible CPU" message ...so I guess it really wasn't installed, lol!

I also just came across this thread/post:

"MASSIVE X requires an AVX compatible CPU. AVX, or 'Advanced Vector Extensions' are extensions to the X86 instruction set architecture for microprocessors from Intel and AMD. AVX compatible processors were introduced in 2011 by Intel and AMD.

MASSIVE X requires an AVX compatible processor to provide increased performance. Its audio engine provides advanced wavetable oscillators, unison voicing, a flexible audio router, and other features which make the use of AVX necessary.

The installation of MASSIVE X will be blocked on non-AVX-compatible systems."

...I don't have an AVX compatible processor ...so there ya go.

I am having the same problem except I am using a Mac Book Pro (M chip) and it also does it on my iMac (non-M-chip). It is incredibly frustrating.

We have a known issue when running the demo without having Native Access installed. We will have this fixed for our next release but until then the workaround is to install Native Access to run the demo.
