Wouldn't we love this in tdj?
Cross dj for the iPad has it.
Let's all wish and dream together.

iMaschine already has it, and Traktor Pro just got it in the beta update.

It would be a welcome update!

Has anyone synced up two computers running Traktor, using the new beta, yet?

yes!!! really easy to do... but ive synced traktor (hosted in windows 7) and ableton live (hosted in MacOS Mavericks) it runs smooth, the track goes out of sync a little if you do a very fast and large bpm change, but its almost nothing. i´ve found a "solution" switching the sync mode to beat matching instead of tempo matching, but pitch bend become disabled. just pros and cons
PS: sorry about my poor english, hope you understood.

Ableton Link is a proprietary technology.

Why not just implement standard MIDI clock in/out first, as all the other standard compliant gear does?

both Technologies work different, see here: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209776125-Link-FAQs:

What are the differences between Link and regular MIDI Sync?
A major difference between Link and MIDI Sync is Link is free from the limitations of “master” and “slave” - all users are equal. That is, everyone in a Link session can change the tempo of the session, and individuals can also start and stop their music independently of each other.

What do you mean by “all users are equal”? What if someone stops the transport?
“All users are equal” means that each user has an equal ability to change the tempo, and also that no one can stop someone else’s music. If someone stops the transport of their app, only their app will stop; other apps will not be affected.

Is it possible to prevent certain apps from setting or changing the tempo?
No, this is not possible with Link. Each Link app has freedom to influence tempo equally.
Here a link fro NI - shows how TPro, Ableton and an iPad work together with Ableton link: Video

    Hello
I think it's more than Amazing it must be necessary for an Flagship App like Trakor DJ on Ipad !
I can imagine Native Instruments let another company lead on the mixing domain as Cross DJ is doing this.
