Solved Ableton Live 11 needs a new Midi Scripts for Maschine Controllers

Anything for Maschine MK1 coming ?

 

Those aren't technically the scripts, they're the main dependency thingys where scripts pull things/info from... Classes maybe? IDK... I'm probably saying something stupid.

.py is uncompiled, .pyc is compiled. It could be different in Windows and everything is uncompiled, idk. I just noticed my scripts in the AL "User Library" are also uncompiled, but all the ones that came with it inside the app are compiled (not sure what the equivalent on Windows is since you cant open .exes)

But yes, the point being is if someone wants to edit them it's super easy, even if they're compiled, I only know a tiny bit of development and can easily convert them with a terminal command (that Senst mentioned), Ableton API is also documented so anyone that wants to do 'something' can and some people have.

 

When you add a remote script folder of uncompiled `.py` files to Ableton Live, it will compile them to `.pyc` files on next launch. As of Live 11 the compiled files are created in a `__pycache__` subfolder, but they used to just be created alongside the uncompiled scripts.

 

We will only make available the ones I shared in my post.
The Maschine MK1 are no longer supported and unfortunately, we're not going to be able to offer scripts for these.

 

Aw no I'm so disappointed. I thought this would maybe breathe some life into the lovely old thing.

Maybe I could write these and make them available on my web site... So...

It was actually - we're not supporting the integration for the Maschine Mikro MK3.
We're only working on the units I shared but there seems to be custom scripts available for the Maschine Mikro MK3 here already.

Now I just have to look forward to a finally decent next generation iteration of the Komplete Kontrol MK III hardware etc - that fixes all the annoying lack of buttons, faders etc on my 88 that would make using the KK genuinely helpful and workflow-productive insterad of the parsons egg that the KK88 mk II is ...

The KOMPLETE KONTROL AND NKS idea and tech could be so so so much better than it is. And I'd pay well over £1k if it actually fulfilled its promise as an ultimate controller...
( for example we need around 4 faders on the left hand side for common CC expression commands for orchestra sample libraries etc.... we could do with a handful of tyny buttons or something like the Elgato stream deck built in - for sending articulation commands to orchestra samples - and for heavens sake... a dedicated big knob for MASTER VOLUME for heavens sake... jeez!.... and eliminating all the modal behaviour might be nice... and.. )

Currrently I use the JAM - in part - basically just simply to make up for missing functionality on the Komplete Kontrol range

I ***DONT*** WANT TO USE SHIFT BUTTON FOR BASIC STUFF!!!

d0stenning Thank you for the feedback. I shared the script for Komplete Kontrol here since it was the most relevant one for Live 11 but the discussion is still mostly about Maschine. I'd suggest creating a new thread in the Komplete Kontrol sub-forum if you want to talk more about that

 

Wow. Very unfortunate there will be no support for MK1. Waited all these months. Last version of Live 10 had all the scripts for MK1. Guess I will be parting ways with NI. Peace yall.

 

If you write the scripts for MK1, I would love a copy.

 

it seems like when i go to scale on Keyboard mode, the notes are all over (it works fine in chrom). is it just me doing something wrong or the script is broken?
