Solved Ableton Live 11 needs a new Midi Scripts for Maschine Controllers

just to quickly add something that may be a bit of an insight Matt @ NI, since I believe you when you said you are seeing it a lot, but I think that many people have come to expect to be ignored and that their requests and frustrations will go on unheard, not considered or un-honored by anyone at NI because of what we've seen in the past and the history of many things said on these forums not being responded to, and then features and updates finally would come, only to so often not include many (or any) of those most talked about anticipated features and/or functionality are requested so emphatically. With that being said I also think it was necessary to point out and say what you had. Its easy forget or to focus on negativity but i wouldnt take it personally and i truly think everyone is actually extremely happy that your here doing something differently and that your working to change that and to see that NI is starting to act in a way that will eventually change that Image. In the meantime it might just take some time for everyone and for more results to be seen before the general attitude of pessimism int the majority is able to change, and im sure everyone here would love to feel differently. Sorry that your the one stuck with it, lol.

More on the subject i think that if NI is having issues providing this type of functionality they should provide a more painless way for people to do it themselves. I have Maschine studio and i still cant find any information on what the regular mode (non-MIDI mode?) midi notes or midi commands are, if they are actually even midi at all, so that i might be able to keep it that way and stay in the mode it was designed to operate in and be able to just use a plugin or external program in order to translate those default messages into midi and be used in any other way than how I am forced to use it; inside or outside of maschine software (which as it happens I had been unaware of any of the restrictions and flaws before purchasing, both for the hardware and software since you cant have one without the other, so once you pay for it and realize the limitations that seem intentionally limited, at that point its too late to make a purchasing decision and that feels like how the situation was manufactured to be, adding to the list of frustrations and makes me ask myself if i had been scammed). But all this is just my 2 cents. I guess Its all subjective anyway

 

i guess it wouldnt be as much of a bother if i could just do literally everything other daws do so i wouldnt need to worry about any of this. but that would mean it would in practice be "the perfect DAW" and things are rarely perfect. to me it kinda seems like NI is just scared of a little healthy competition concerning customers they've already locked in with one of their hardware/ software locker-inners

 

also i think that by avoiding more freedom to use the hardware freely with other daws or make changes to non-midi mode functionality its only hurting their business, for me im fine the majority of the time staying within maschine and theres so many reasons i love it and the hardware but the restriction on freedom of functionality in maschine and when i want to work outside of it and use the hardware are the only reason I am confronted with the question of switching devices and for the resistance to buy more NI hardware and Im sure thats the case for many. why would i buy more NI devices to expand on something that will still not function the way i want when instead i can buy something else instead that will complete my workflow, its really a no brainer

 

I feel the same way. At the same time they want other devs to support NKS and participate in the NI eco system so a more open and flexible approach could gain trust by users and devs. Just compare to push 2 with the displays fully supported for Bitwig or by an innovative new app like endlesss studio...
For me this really increases the perceived value of my Push.

I use Maschine Jam. I noticed a problem. I wanna use Step sequencer mode and one button stays white and no sound placed there. This button works as TAB button instead. Switching the view between arrangement view and session view.

Has anyone encountered any issues running Live 10 with the MK3 Legacy script on a M1 machine? Eventually I would migrate over to Live 11 if Elton Memishaj can create a new script.

Thanks Milos, I hope we will see soon, now it doesn't works, and no solution (is it the script file, the cc ?)... strange that the Ableton Live 11 remote scripts are so long to do and test by a big & old company like NI. I can understand the team is focused on M1 transition, but Live 11 was out in feb 2021, we're almost in July: truly weird, so N.I So long, so far. Best

 

half a year and NI still hasn't created decent Maschine Jam scripts for Ableton 11 ... I thought NI was a serious company ...

The most advisable thing is to sell the Jam and buy an Ableton push 2 .....
