Ableton style clip launcher

Is there a Reaktor project anywhere that approximates the tempo synced clip launching in Ableton Live? Since Live was prototype'd in MaxMSP in around 1999 I figure it should be possible to sort of duplicate the experience of an early version of Live. Here's a pic of the first alpha.

I think sonictwists beatlooper might be a good start for the Warper section.

 

oddly, because of reaktor's very limited sample handling in the the past, this has only really been a possibility for a very short time in reaktor (since the release of R6).

 

I figure even a really paired down version would be pretty fun. Someone made a clip launcher for Renoise with the lua scripting.

here's the isolated tempo synch engine from Robin Davies patch. I'm not sure what's going in with those core bits but I think it might be perfect for clip launching. Anyone have a tip for adding an iteration/selecting number of loops mode? sweet beat repeat by the way.

 

updated with a sampler to show proof of concept. one problem: if you press the trigger before you run the transport, it blinks and the gate will trigger on the next loop, which is expected behavior, but if you stop the transport when the trigger is still on, and then run the transport again, the trigger goes through immediately. there may be a couple other related bugs. is there a way to reset the operation without initiating a global reset with reaktors off button?

thank's, that works great however the off switch doesn't respond to quantization

 

it seems to be one beat rather than the main quantisation.

actually, i am not sure it works properly any more it odes not seem to change at the end of the bar.

fwiw, here is a different Ensemble that uses CList's 'Action Quantise' Macro. This uses a Resynth Sampler, and it definitely changes at the beginning of the bar.

there is no Off button on this - but maybe you can create one?

I know this is an old thread, still the beat repeat shown here had me blown away, I was wondering if there is a breakdown video about it, would be nice to know what went into creating it in a salamanderanagramesque kinda way. Some crazy stuff to find just in the forums. Much to learn from!
