this friday, one of the decks wouldn't go in absolute mode no matter what, while the first deck worked OK in absolute. since i already started playing and didn't have any vinyl to mix in so i can restart traktor i had to use trackpad to select the beginning of tunes (when i'd drop a needle on timecode vinyl no waveform would have been shown, it did only after i clicked on the first bar).

is this some kind of bug or what? how can i solve it quickly the next time should it happen?

Likely a dropped channel somewhere in the chain - start with the headshells and take it from there.

Thats why its always a good idea to have an ipod handy, or some other means of playing music so that you can reboot Traktor.

Im having the exact same problem. The only way i know to sort it out is to restart traktor. For me, it only happens when i switch between timecoded vinyl and analogue vinyl. TBH its a real bummer because thats the exact reason why i bought my timecoded set up, to play both digital and traditional vinyl that is

You are definitely recalibrating the decks after switching?

when switching between regular vinyl and timecode vinyl it's always a good idea to disable the input by switching the respective deck to internal playback mode when using regular vinyl (just hit the play button).

traktor tries to read the regular vinyl as timecode, which can sometimes cause a hiccup, not necessarily, but better you do as described above.

Thanks. Ill have a go at hitting the play button before using an ordinary vinyl :)

I had the same problem, it turns out resetting the calibration in the scratch panel solves everything

yes, usually a recalibration (that's what happens when you click on the rst button) does the trick, but i've seen few occasions, where traktor got stuck after playing regular vinyl quite some time.

whenever i play more than a few normal records in between digital tracks, i change the input to internal to stop the incoming signal being interpreted.
