absolute mode on cdj

hi, everything is working fine when i use vinyl with traktor
when i try to use cdj's in absolute im not allowed. i can use it in relative no problem. also, when i use the cdj's can i hit the cue/loop buttons on the cdj, and should this correspond back to traktor?

Check the input mode on Audio 8 DJ - when playing with CDJs, it must be on Control CD/Line.

 

update to latest version for cdj cue/loop/hotcues to work

Though ive found that if i have one deck usng vinyl and the other using cds only one works in absolute mode, whatever one is set.

Would definately be better if both could be used at same time.

Of course, if I go and buy a "phono to line converter" for my turntables, I can use 2x turntables and 2x CDs at the same time, but I'm the first one to agree that this sounds a bit strange requirement

 

I have the same problem. When playing with timecode cd's, traktor won't let me use absolute mode. I even have the timecode settings to automaticcally switch to absolut mode when loading a track, but still it doesn't work. I'm running the latest update and the audio 8 card input is set to cd control mode and Ireally don't know what to do. Can someone please help?

im also having the same problem, when using cdj's (800s) it wont let me use absolute mode... WHY! and how the HELL do i FIX it?

Ok I've experienced this problem a few times on my last gigs. Whenever I set up traktor and someone has to play normal cd's "through" it, it causes the problem where traktor won't calibrate properly. It's really annoying because it basically means you cannot set up traktor in advance. But then im sure note everybody experiences this. You could also play a vinyl, or a cd on a third CDJ that's not connected to traktor, and then restart traktor while doing that, then it should calibrate properly (which ought to be the problem when doesn't let you go in absolut mode). So this was my experience untill saturday. I played traktor and then someone had to play regular cd's (it was hooked via the multicore cables, only 2 cdj's). They started playing and i put my laptop in sleep because I was going to play again afterwards. When it was me again I was preparing a vinyl to do the above mentioned interchange, but then experienced traktor was calibrating with no problem. This was weird but very nice, so I hope the problem's over for me now

Oh, and remember to set the soundcard right!

 

i experience this problem to, and is not cool... it goes and comes back one day it seems to have no problem and the next week it comes with this issue...

i dont think it should be this way.. to be lucky ? please somebody who know the right thing to do...

i use a copy of the original cds, and only burn the second track of the cd.. witch supose to work fine..

other thing during this issuie is when i open traktor while other dj is playing normal cds, sometimes not even starting playing the coded cd, i cant select the absolute botton, and it is just locked on the relative button while lights on and off with the beats, some kind of power issue.. so i have to reset the program several times until it gets ok...

please some help..
