Absynth 3.0.1 update now available

@ ewistrand: I use FLStudio 5 pro.

 

That's weird- I just talked to a friend of mine who's using FLS (4.5x though- he hasn't got around to installing the update) and 3.01- it works fine there. It works for me in Tracktion, Live, Chainer, and EnergyXT, and the DXi version works in Sonar.
Look at the version number of the VST.dll FL's looking at. Is it the right version?

Ok. My fault. It's the complicated usage for saving a preset into another bank in Absynth. Sorry!

 

Login mixup

Hello Madlab,

the phenomenon you describe is really serious. We tested our registration and login system heavily and could not reproduce this behavior. The only way I could think of that this could happen is a double session ID. The session id is a large random number that is generated for each website user. It is possible but extremely improbable that you got the same session ID than another user who was logged in to the website at the same time.

As I said, this is very unlikely. Chances are something like 1:10000000. In any case, we'll have an eye on this and look for other explanations. If my guess is correct, though, you should beware not to get hit by a comet.

Login mixup

Before curiosity killed the cat, I tried it a second time. After logging in the forum, I clicked the download link. This time, the login was filled in as 'grosdick24@...' but the download didn't start automatically and I was invited to log in. Not a comet crash, Markus, but it was close ! I'd rather be hit by an alesis andromeda ;-))

do you log into the forum or into the download page? I'm a little confused because there are no download links in the forum and the login is different. In any case, my theory about the double session ID was obviously wrong. To find out what is wrong there, could you please fill out this online form:
[niurl]/index.php?websupport_us[/niurl]
When you submit that page, our server tries to collect all kind of data about your session, cookies etc. with these data we can try to locate the problem.

I tried this and it doesn't fix the problem on my machine. Are you holding down the note in Viral Flux? Because the spike doesn't always show up immediately.

 

I still get stuck keys now and then even after the update. I am using FLStudio5

 

Both times, I logged into the forum, then read the 'absynth 3.01 upd now available' thread, where the link to the download page is included. First time, the Download started automatically as soon as the download page appeared without me logging in the 'download zone', 2nd time, I was given a wrong mail adress as login but wasn't logged automatically.

 

Hello Madlab,

we found the problem:
The link in this thread included a session-ID. So everybody clicking on that link without having cookies on would recieve the same session. This is now fixed.

So the problem was on our side but it was not the login/session system.

GLO Loading Problem

If I double click a GLO file to open Absynth, Absynth will open to whatever GLO was last loaded. It should load with the double-clicked GLO file. Please fix in next update.
