Got the update ok and installed it fine but I'm seeing some strange behavior in Live 6. The first note of some midi clips isn't firing on the first loop through. Anyone else seeing this?

This is Live 6.0.7 with the Mactel AU version of Absynth.

Edit: I've attached a Live set that demonstrates this bug. Just hit play and notice that the first note of the clip doesn't sound on the first loop.

 

Hmmm... I haven't noticed that, but I'm on PC. I'll try your set and see if I see the same thing.

Download Problem

Just tried downloading the latest update of AS from the service centre. The status doesnt move from 0%. Anyone else having the same issue?

I got nowhere with the service center but was able to download it directly from NI's website using a download manager.

 

Had no luck with the service center either and the NI website seems to be really slow...

i tested your live project and it worked with my computer.
the first noe was played correctly.

but i do not use au plugins and used the vst version in live as absynth plugin...

Interesting. Are you on a Mac or a PC?

I tried it again with the Mactel VST in Live and got the same result. I tried something similar in Logic 7 and it seems to work there. Maybe it's an Ableton bug?

 

The envelope bug is still ALIVE! The same strange things happen with the master envelopes in mono mode as in 4.0.1, no matter if they´re in filters or effects. Even the problem with the false comb values when using in trans mode is there.
BTW I´m working on PC with Windows XP and it happens with Cubase SX and in standalone mode.
Please don´t let me wait another 8 month for the next update which should work!

 

i tried it on my mac ppc.
in ableton live.
all notes are played.
maybe its the absynth preset?
try a simple sine wave as preset in absy.

 

what is the envelope bug?

if it is true that many old bugs are still there we should make a bug list and then i email it to brian directly.

 

I'm just using the default new sound, which is just a single sine wave.

i would phone NI support and then report the answer here.

I'm getting the same behavior with the VST version.

What version of Live are you using? Are you using a multi-core Mac?

 

how are you guys even getting the update? I've tried three times with the service center and all three times I get a "download failed" mesage. Now I'm downloading it from NI's site at a whopping 6KB/second.

 

The server's still acting strange. They were supposed to take it down earlier today for maintenance, but I don't know if it happened or not.
