Absynth 4 sounds

Hi

I have Absynth 5 (with Komplete 7) using Reaper as my DAW of choice on a recently built pc. Alongside this I have an external hard drive used for data storage. There are some old unfinished reaper projects on the external which have midi tracks recorded using Absynth 4 which I can't hear as, to cut a long story short I no longer have Absynth 4. I wondered if there was a way of obtaining it or incorporate a soundbank within Absynth 5.

 

In your Absynth 5 Factory Library all former patches starting from Absynth 3 are included, just check your Absynth Browser for a folder named Absynth 4->Instruments, these are the sounds which were released with Absynth 4.

I looked and found the sounds in my Absynth 5 browser. How do I trigger the sounds when playing a track recorded using Absynth 4? Can't seem to work it out.

 

Well you'll have to exchange the Plug-In as AB4 is not installed anymore on your DAW you said. So insert AB5 on the track, select the sound you want and off you go.

 

does anyone know if the bioplabs commercial sound sets (or mods to them and hence new sounds) are posted in the Absynth download user area?
