Absynth 5 Downloader app can't be opened

    I'm trying to reisntall Absynth 5 on a new iMac (OS X 10.10.2), but I get the following error message when I try to run the installer app:

    The application "Absynth_5_Downloader.app" can't be opened

    Any ideas?

    Turns out it was a permissions problem created when unarchiving:

    Sometimes third party archiving applications can extract files with invalid
    permissions. Using Apple's Archive Utility will extract the files with the proper
    permissions.
