    Hi,

In Absynth 4, I moved all my samples to a seperate drive away from the C drive. The using the options, just entered the directory location for samples and added the folder to the browser part. Doing exactly the same in 5 isn't working - bascially, all samples from my other libraries HAVE to be in the common files folder on the C drive.

I have some Anomoly banks, and also Absynth Twilights, and it does it for all of these i.e. I can't put the samples where I please.

Anyone else getting this as well?

    Cheers.

I'm not seeing that here. Did you rebuild the database after changing the location?

Hi. Yes, I have clicked rebuild Database, but not alot happens. Maybe I'm doing something wonrg? Here's an example with Absynth Twilights:

    1. Put a Folder on my L Driver called Other Absynth
    2. Put folder in that call Absynth Twilights and put the ksd's in that.
    3. Put a folder called Samples in 'Other Absysnth'
    4. Put folder called Absynth Twilight Samples in the Sample folder
    5. Add the Absynth Twilight ksd folder to Browser under options.
    6. Add sample directory pointing to the samples for Twilight.
    7. Rebuild DB
    8. Try to load a Twilight preset and get a cannot find "....wav" message.

    Cheers.

First off, I wouldn't recommend keeping the samples with the .ksds; that's going to lead to slow datavase activity
Secomdly, did you allow the database enough time to rebuild?
Thirdly- reboot your system after the rebuild. See if that works.

Understand about the ksd's and samples seperately, but even then, it still can't find the samples.

How long does it take for the DB to build? I waited until what I think is the progress indicated had stopped.

    I'll try the reboot.

The thing I don't undertand, is that this works fine in Absynth 4, and I never once used the rebuild database button!

    Cheers.

The rebuilding's done when the pinwheel on the right next to the save button stops.
From what I'm seeing, someone else reported issues with it finding samples during testing as well; I'll see what's new with it.

That's what I thought (the pinwheel that is); so I definitely waited for that to stop.

Let me know if you find anything more.

    Cheers.

OK- I heard from Brian- he confirmed the issue. Expect a fix with the next update.
Until then, keep all your samples in the default location if possible.

    Sorry,

I just ran into this issue myself last night and spent a good hour trying to figure out what the problem was. I almost missed this thread.

Perhaps this issue should be prominently noted in a sticky?

me 2. hazzled around some hours with that.
Would be nice to make this more transparent to users. I'm a new NI-User and installed just KORE 2 and Absynth 5 (from Komplete 6) now and there so many directories around now... called Absynth 3, 4, 5, sounds, effects, instruments... quite hard at the beginning NOT to get confused.
