Absynth Always Resets Surround Settings

Each time I load Absynth 5 into my DAW, the audio settings (File > Options... > Surround) are reset.

My preferred configuration is "5 Music" with the following speaker assignments:

LF, RF = 1 & 2
C, LFE = 3 & 4
LS, RS = 5 & 6

...but Absynth keeps resetting these to the "5 Music" default configuration:

LF, RF = 1 & 2
LS, RS = 3 & 4
C, LFE = 5 & 6

...and, sometimes (when it's feeling particularly ornery):

LF, RF = 1 & 2
LS, RS = 3 & 4
C, LFE = 5 & 4

...which produces a horrible sound that could make your ears bleed.

I have verified that this happens in both Sonar and Cubase, so it's probably an Absynth thing.

Any idea how to set the surround outputs permanently?

Any advice is appreciated.

 

Have you already tried to change these settings in Absynth Standalone first?

Just in case: maybe also check if both the Standalone and plugin version (used in the DAWs) have the same version number (by clicking on the NI logo in the top right corner)
