Crossgrade to PC platform

I visited with a couple folks at Native that said a free cross-grade from the the Mac to the PC platform is being released.

I was told it would be available on the web site at the same time the PC version was released. I haven't seen it yet on the site though.

There will not be a free crossgrade for Mac users to the PC because the Mac and PC copy protection CDs are not compatible - therefore a download version would not work. We haven't yet decided our crossgrade policy because Absynth has only been a Mac version until now. We will make a crossgrade available, but there will probably be a small handling fee and it would require the return of the original Absynth Mac CD-ROM.

However there is good news: starting with this version, Absynth is a Hybrid CD - Mac and PC on the same CD. Therefore, there certainly will be crossgrade possibility to accomodate the early adopters, but we cannot send out CDs for free as we never advertised that a crossgrade would be available.

hi there, I was wondering:

If the demo will be out in a 1/2 weeks time, I should assume that
the final product would hit the store right now or in a week time.
I made a call to my reseller here in Rome (and the main distributor is here too..) and he laugh at me saying that it will be available
(if I'm lucky) by june !!?? how's that? should I fly over berlin
and get myself a copy right there?

jake, would you mind to post a message here when absynth has actually *shipped* to retailers? i think then we wouldn't have to debate or call our local stores daily!

 

I'd like to know if it'll be possible to import mac patches, as there seems to be really good stuff out there (sounds by Cylob and so on).
