I just want to make sure that the Absynth team is aware of an issue that the Kontakt team seems to be dealing with:

    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68158

The issue is users who store all assets for a project in the sequencer project folder, and then move that project folder around a lot (most obviously between different studios).

I haven't started using Absynth yet, but my understanding is that instruments can reference (custom) samples, so the Absynth plug-in needs to keep track of those samples if they are stored in a project folder that changes filepath locations.

I'm not sure if this is technically possible in any/all of the plug-in architectures -- but the best (fastest, safest, no prompting of user) way to do this is to detect the current file location of the host sequencer document that the plug-in instance is loaded in, and re-build relative paths to an "Absynth Files" folder that will always be located next to that sequencer document in its project folder.
