Absynth Legacy patches missing from Maschine/KK

Looking at the patch list in Maschine and Komplete Kontrol shows the Absynth Legacy bank isn't available in either the Maschine or Komplete Kontrol browsers.

I'd have expected all patches to show?

I had this before. NIs response was that they were not included in the browsers because they were Legacy and deprecated, although I think that to be 'Komplete' they should be included.

 

ive just come on with same question..ive updated absynth 5 and now none of my older banks are displaying ive click on rebuild database but still no show even though there in the same place they were before ..any ideas how to get them too work again?thanks

 

Have you tried saving the older presets into Absynth 5's new preset format?

The old formats—.glo and .ksd can be easily be batch saved and reformatted into the current .nabs format.

I don't own either Maschine or Komplete Kontrol but I would assume that they would only read the latest Absynth preset format.

 

oh have they changed the format again with the new update?i changed them last time but not converted with the update a few days ago.

the format of your searched "Absynth Legacy" is .nabs-format!
i tried now several times with new adding path in Absynth, rescan there and in KK but "Absynth Legacy" didn´t appear in KK, but in Absynth itself it´s there and the sounds can be loaded!
so we here have a BUG, but don´t know where we can report bugs here at NI

 

Look in the user banks section - they are there.

glad its not just me ive tried rescanning and reconverting but that just crashes absynth..there must be a bug in the update

 

im now finding some of them im rescanning and reconverting som old glo banks but still lots are not coming up.

how should I reconvert them? they are installed from Komplete9U (I´m still talking about the Absynth-directory "Absynth Legacy")

 

2018 and this bug has still not been removed.

 

OK there's a workaround for this.

Copy the Absynth Legacy and Absynth Sounds Vol. 1 folders (that one also doesn't show) to the user content folder (on Windows, that's C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\Native Instruments\Absynth 5\Sounds\). Add this folder to user library, then rescan it. The result:



(I have my Leap Into The Void and The Unfinished libraries here as well )

The only caveat is that all these presets (thousands of them), won't have any previews

 

Unfortunately, it does not change the fact that presets should be visible in the factory library.

If I use your method, I will have to switch between factory and user every time I want to search presets from absynth.

 

You can also put them in Factory (just put them where the rest of the factory NABs are and rescan

 

Presets are in the factory folder. I tried re-install maschine and absynth, rescan many times and nothing helps.

 

Not sure what's wrong then, as you can see they are there for me. Maybe Maschine is different?

Yeah but that doesn't explain why I am able to see them in factory and you are not, there are some bugs that are to do with the software itself and some that are specific to context, and those are harder to pin down and circumstances may be very unique
