i'm having frequent crashes of logic platinum win 5.1 ONLY when using abysnth as a VST plugin. after perhaps 5 minutes of file browsing in absynth, logic simply dissapears - no crash error messages or anything - just poof! and it's gone, leaving only the absynth engine running.

Does it work in Logic 5.0? We did all of our testing in 5.0, but 5.1 doesn't seem available for download anywhere on the emagic site to test...

hmmm... this weekend it was available from
    http://www.emagicusa.com/updates/
but it looks now like they have pulled the files from the page...:(
would be nice if they would give some comment as to what is going on.

and yes, logic 5 just crashed on me again using the 5.0 exe. closing the absynth engine afterwards gives an error message saying something like "absynth VST requires the absynth engine to run. there are still active absynth VST plugins. are you sure you want to quit?" btw, i'm using an echo mia with 6.03 ASIO WDM drivers.

Might be a problem with your soundcard drivers (Echo). A friend of mine has got EgoSys Waveterminal 2496 running EWDM -ASIO, he's got Logic Platinum 5.1 and Absynth - EVERYTHING works excellent, I've been fiddling around with Absynth in Logic for about 2 hours on his PC, ran through every possible preset sound. Both Logic & Absynth were perfectly stable all the time, the CPU load unbelievably low (really unbelievably!!!!) and I was stunned at the quality of sounds this synthesizer is capable of, those are best pads I have ever heard from a VSTi and they're at least equal, if not better than hardware synthesizers also. Fantastic work, NI!
