Absynth4 crashes NOW always if i try to open L7

...but it worked on my machine before (?). Now i can´t open A4 anymore. Never! Restarting the computer doesn´t help. It is always crashing. The Standalone is working fine. The only thing what i did was the Apple Update: Java and iTunes Is A4 using Java?

It´s a non Intel Dual Core 2GHz 10.4.8

Is there a way to use A3 for the sounds i made in A4?

Generally, it seems A3 is much, much more stable...

Sorry to hear about your problem. In answer to your questions;

1) no, A4 doesn't use Java (as far as I know)
2) no, there isn't any way.

I'd fill out a support ticket if I were you; the forums aren't the primary support vehicle. I'll also see if I can get some people to look into it.

OK... I e-mailed Brian Clevinger about this, and he says it's happening in the keyboard display. The only thing he can think of right off hand is inverting the keyboard display; that is, if you have the keyboard showing, hide it (and vice versa).

Keep us posted; it's the first time any of us have seen this.

Hey, it´s great! I doesn´t believed it! I opened the Standalone - switched off the keyboard - go back to logic - opened A4 as Plugin - voila! NO CRASH!

PS: NI need to look over the new DataBase in A4. It is so slooooow...Most crashes in the past i had where in the new DB-thing of A4.

BTW, A4 sounding so fantastic! I love it! The GUI in the (Rhythmic)-Envelope-Programming can be more smarter (in my opinion...) e.g. select the Envelopepoints and with a right mouseclick you have a quantize-menue like in a sequenzer with 8th, 16th, 32th, tripled, dotted etc.

 

I'm glad it worked.

As for the database, it's going to be poky until it rebuilds itself. I've found that doing a manual database rebuild tends to speed things up with the auto rebuilds afterwards, but that might just be me.
