Problem with AC Box and Sonar 3:

If I insert the plugin in Sonar and leave AC Box alone (i.e. preset #1 is set), everything is fine.

If I do the above and tweak any parameter and then save the Sonar project, the next time I try to open the project Sonar will crash on the spot. Only way to get access to the Sonar project again is to safe-open and disable AC Box.

Finally, if I insert the plugin, switch to one of *my* presets, I can change paramters without saving them in AC Box and the Sonar crash does *not* happen.

Bottom line: it seems to happen only if I change one of the factory presets.

    Anyone experiences something similar?

Wrote to NI support. One week later, I got a reply basically saying "I can't reproduce it". And that was that. Another query didn't get any response at all (11 days now) and the thread in the support section is closed. So: their prog has a naughty bug that causes another program to crash and they simply don't recognize it. Can we call that fraud?

NI support has a VERY bad reputation and now I know why. Fortunately I learned my NI lesson with one of the cheaper programs . . . Only thing I can do about it is tell everybody what happened and give them the advice NOT to buy a NI product. At any rate, that's what I'm going to do.

    Feeling ripped off,

    Dear Wolf,

sorry for the trouble you have encountered with NI support. It seems that your second request or follow up did not get through, since we have received only one request from you. Did you get an confirmation email from your second request? If yes, could you contact us again and add this confirmation mail to your follow up, so that we can look for the cause of the problem why our answer has not reached you?

Now that you mention it . . . I don't think so. But I did get another query asking for the exact Sonar version # (3.1.1) today. Apparently my reply has gotten lost somewhere. Anyway, since the post from today had a link to a reply support form, I tried to post there. Unfortunately, the link gets me nowhere (more or less blank page, Firefox 1.0.3). It worked about two weeks ago when I wrote the first reply. And while we're at it: the lack of an *email address*, at least for replies, is a major PITA.

Anyhow, I've just sent the reply by means of a new support query since I couldn't get access to the reply support form . . . I hope it's not too confusing . . . again, this would be much much easier if there was an email address for support questions.
