Accidentally bought edu maschine

    Going into buying maschine second hand from a guy through craigslist, I specifically asked if his product was the edu version. He said he wasn't sure but didn't remember seeing anything that said that (bought it a year ago). I went ahead with the sell and in the process of deregistering, it turned out to be the edu version.

    Now I recognize they don't allow account transfers...but anyone try a work around? Through NI you can change your email info with service center. Presuming someone only has maschine on their account, couldn't they change the service center access to a mutually agreed email and in essence transfer the maschine access that way?

    Not trying to sound like an ass about it...but trying to make something work from an unfortunate mistake.

    Thoughts?
