Activation problems with latest Kontakt/Reaktor/GR/B4/AP updates

    This is absolutely right! It should be so easy to let the user decide where he wants the software and where the libraries. That should go without saying.

    Every significant update (even small ones with only a few improvements) are so likely to cause new problems with NI. What annoys me is the fact that I have to re-authorize again and again - every time with the risk that a bug keeps my software in demo-mode and refuses to authorize properly.

    Just like to say that I installed the updates to Reaktor 5, B4 II and akoustik piano and had authorisation problems - the plug-ins stayed red regardless in service center. I followed the instructions described in solution 2 but this did not work - I then tried solution 1 and it worked just fine. thanks for the help - frustrating to have to do this but at least it now works.

    Heavy problems with the SERVICE CENTER

    Grrrr... after a fresh intallation (WinXP-System and Software, KOMPLETE V3) it is impossible to get information via SERVICE CENTER (Version 1.0.0.86). The anim on the right down is still rotating - that's all. All my support request by the NI support form are killed. What can i do? I only want to use the powerful music tools :-(

    KARMACOMPOSER, HELP!!! How in the world did you get kontakt 2 to work on win 2000??? I've been trying everything, but no results. I sent an email about it to NI, but was basically told "too bad". I have so much work to do and won't be able to go to XP for quite some time, if you got kontakt 2 going on win2k, please, please email me how you did. It would be a great blessing. Asaph

    I haven't tried updating anything but Reaktor... and now I can't open Reaktor. The Service Center claims it's green 'Registered' but when I run Reaktor I get the message "your system ID has changed or is invalid", and that's as far as Reaktor will let me go. The Service Center won't even attempt to register Reaktor again, since it thinks it's already registered succesfully.

    NI should just drop this registration junk... the hackers have already broken the registration system anyway, and they'll quickly break whatever else NI produces, so the only effect these registration systems have is to piss off the paying customers.

    I have same problem - Service centre showing red for installed product (Kontakt) which worked fine before 2.20 upgrade. Now the service centre line remains red and Kontakt will only start in demo mode! Win XP SP2 - Please help! I'm in the middle of mixing an album here!!

    No success here

    MacBook, 10.4.8, Komplete 4 upgraded from 2 previous NI products.

    I've tried 1 and 2, with no success.

    After erasing via Spotlight all traces of NI soft (searching the name of each K4 product, as well as Native, NI, Instruments), I reinstall K4. All apps open in full mode.

    I install GR2 update.

    Service Center, after upgrading itself, says GR has an invalid Serial. And yes, it shows other SN (BTW, I have another GR2 registered, but I have the same problems with the apps I didn't own yet). I write the correct K4 SN. SCenter says all is well, but GR2 appears red and unchecked. I mark the checkbox, authorize and SCenter says I don't own the GR2 with the correct SN.

    I've tried your solutions, but both failed for me.

    Tracking number: RS 173630 (I sent two more queries, but deleted them).

    I'll reinstall everything AGAIN and wait for NI to post valid updaters. After paying 1.000 euros this is... dissappointing.

    FM8 is AWESOME. :)

    Have never been able to get the B4 2.0.3 update to authorise on my MacBook Pro, despite numerous attempts, reinstalling, throwing away all B4 plugins, all B4 prefs, reinstalling Service Center, drawing a pentagram on the floor, invoking the devil....

    I've paid for this software, and NI's shoddy authorisation system has prevented me from using it.

    It's been not far off a week since I had access to my software.

    As per the thread: a disk replacement has resulted in a new system ID, but I got a 'no activations left' message first, which should be correct. So I deactivated a system ID and now K4 isn't activating because apparently the system ID (which doesn't match) is being reported as deactivated.

    This really is just crazy!

    Wow. I was not aware that the NI authorisation process was sensitive even to disk replacement.

    Yesterday I decided to convert my C drive from FAT32 to NTFS. Bad move. I am not sure whether this is the reason, but since then Control Center gives me an odd assortment of authorised/unauthorised products. Most of the K3 products are unauthorised, it seems.

    Worst of all, it plays havoc with my sequencers (nuendo, reaper) with all the idiot NI "wrong system ID" messages, so unless I uninstall the NI stuff there goes the weekend for music production.

    Sent an email to NI. Hope for an answer.
