I am about to pull my hair out.

Service Center does not find B4II to authorize it.

First I installed B4II 2.0.4 onto my MBP with 10.6.4 and activated it using the latest service center. Cranked it up and it worked fine. Then I tried to move the the B4II dir to a subdir under Applications and it quit working, complaining about tonewheels. After much looking around I was able to figure out that removing the plists and restarting it would let me tell it where it is and it would work again, however now it repeatedly comes back as unauthorized. When I try to startup Service center it does not show up as an available app to authorize. I have tried to remove the plist files for service center too, but no matter, it does not seem to find B4II. I already tried moving it back to /Applications/B4II folder, but still does not see it.

What gives. Installing B4II is a bloody nightmare.

I'm stunned to find out they are discontinuing this product too. Maybe I will just make the move finally to VB3, but honestly I'd just like to get this working again. Does anyone have ANY ideas how I can authorize this bloody thing now?

I know nothing about Macs, but I assume that, like PCs, dragging programs folders about after installation is likely to cause problems. Service center is probably looking for the program using instructions that are written in a registry, as the folder was moved its not finding it.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software?

no its normally totally fine to do that. Yes I tried multiple times to uninstall and reinstall. Now service center does not even see its there. I also tried putting B4 in the original place.

In that case I would call NI support. They sorted out my service centre probems quickley and efficently.
