Hi, Im having trouble figuring out how to map OUTS to modifiers.

specifically, I wish to map my buttons such that. If mod1 state1 is on then the led on my controller also toggles on. else (mod 1 state doesnt equal 1) it toggles off. (all other outs i can map as desired, so im not sure what im doing wrong)

As it stands I am only able to get a generic on led-state which just turns on (it wont toggle off) and it isn't dependant on the state of the modifier. Even though I adjusted the 'modifier conditions' to be affected by the state of the mod.

The mods switch between different banks in my mapping and it would be great to get this visual feedback from my controller, so any help is appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Jens.

If mod 1 has multiple 'in' states. Then to customise the outs I used a second mod's outs, which was conditional on mod1. And toggled the invert button for whether or not I wanted the led active or not.
I.e. Mod1 'in' is six buttons, set state 0-5
Mod 2 'out' is mapped to the corresponding buttons with conditions being affected my mod1 state 0-5

I tried the same thing using the same mod ins and outs but it didn't seem to work. Hope this helps.

    I forgot to add.
If you want the led to light up on state 3 else it is off. To the same out button you will have to map the out six times, as per my example above. Where on state 3 the led is assigned to turn on and for all other conditions it is assigned to turn off.

Unless I'm missing something... I don't think you need to do all that^ to get a Traktor to output a single mod value.

Try turning off "blend" and use the controller range 1-1. That will have traktor send an output only when the mod state is 1. use 2-2, 3-3, 4-4 etc. for the other values.

If you use the controller range 1-4 then Traktor will only send output if the mod value is 1 or 2 or 3 or 4... make sense?

That does make sense. I've just been playing around with it. But I can't seem to figure out how to tell the led to turn off again. Unless I use my method.

What controller are you using? Does it have an editor? It sounds like a hardware problem to me. I.e. the controller might have an LED "toggle" function that you need to turn off.
