This is a complex process that may need to be handled internally like the sustain pedal. Please offer another gate that suspends midi note off for notes held down on a keyboard when the sostenuto pedal is depressed. Naturally release the note off commands for these notes when the pedal is released. After all it is the middle pedal on a piano and is very important.

The standard gate already handles sostenuto (CC 66) as well as sustain (CC 64) as far as I can tell. What makes you think this feature is not there?

Note: Ensemble / Connect / MIDI In calls sostenuto "Hold"

I hope you are correct. You're the first that know about it. All I've seen was the difference between the gate and the ST gate.
Found this on page 33 of diving deeper.
    • Hold Ctrl: Selects which MIDI CC messages will be used to control hold pedal behavior. The General MIDI standard for this is MIDI CC 66.
I guess they should change the hold pedal to sustenuto pedal or specify it , Seems I heard it called a hold pedal years ago. No search found sustenuto but did show cc 66.
    Thanks for the good news.
