adding custom columns in the browser

I'd love to be able to create my own columns for customizing the track description.

Comments tags are simply too dumb as you can't order them.

You could for exmaple create a "groove" column and label the type of groove. Then order by that column and see which tracks had the same type of groove.

Or you could have a "mood" column, and type "dark", "happy", wtc. Then order and get all your dark tracks together.

 

well, those columns correspond to tag fields in your files. in my case, i'd prefer to see a list of all available tag fields (not only those that NI has choosen for whatever the reason they may have) and so choose the ones i want to see. i miss iTunes tags like group or composer which i use normally to help keeping my collection tidy. i can't use them in traktor and it's annoying.

your proposal however, would be possible since there are 'user defined' tag fields available, and these could be defined from the browser view in an intuitive way. but it'd mean that trakor would have to become a powerful tag editing tool, thing that is not nowadays.

what i'd love would be a tag managing system like the one that iphoto has.

 

I'd love it if at least all of the itunes columns were in traktor pro. I use the grouping field in itunes to make smart lists and add notes. That's not in TP, so I'm wondering if I have to get some script to transfer all the grouping info to the comment field so I can use it in traktor.
