Adding faders to S61 MK2?

Anyone knows if additional controllers can be used with the S61 mk2?

One big downfall to me is the lack of faders, so I was wondering if this could be alleviated by adding something like a Korg Nano or a Novation Launch Control XL, Akai Midimix, etc.

I’m a bit new to midi and KK so not entirely sure about this. And couldn’t find reports or videos of users showing this kind of setup.

 

Sure you can use stuff like nanoKONTROL along. But they will act on their own, just another MIDI device you have hooked up to your computer. They have nothing in common with NKS etc.

 

Right but I guess what I’m asking is if I could do a custom mapping that would use both the S61 mk2 and a nanoKontrol simultaneously to control Konplete

 

It would depend on the plugin and how it does MIDI learn and if it stores it globally or if it's per patch.

However if we're talking about storing .nksf patches, I'm not sure if it'd work.

Machine Jam can accomplish that and more if you’re okay with touch faders.

 

I was able to make custom mappings back in time in KK while used automap with a novation nocturn, it was working ok, it was weird But have not tried with both KK and nocturn plugged. I guess they would both control the same but donno.
PS. I'm happy to not have faders on KK it would funk up your mixer settings when matching up the values in a reopened project... Infinite faders do the job.

 

Could you explain how you configured the Nocturn or have a config template/screenshot as i'm trying to achieve the same
