adding sequencers to instruments

    I've been using the various sequencers in the Caterpillar ensemble by Trash80 to create patterns within Reaktor. I've been hooking the sequencers up to the Pitch Inputs of various synths. My question is this: Is this the best way to hook up a sequencer to an unsequenced synth? Is there a better way to get any synth going with a sequencer?
