Hi guys - I bought a komplete Kontrol s49 keyboard today. I then downloaded some spitfire audio lab files. These are NKS compatible. How do I get them into Kontrol so I can view them in the LCD keyboard screens?library pls?

I didn't see anything about NKS on the website, but most plugins can be NKS Compatible meaning you can save presets of different sounds you create...this is not to be confused with "NKS Ready" which means the developer has created presets, added the required artwork and mapped the controls for the user. if you save presets in KK, you will be able to browse for them, but there will be no real artwork to display on the screens or in the software, you would need to create that yourself, and put it in the proper locations so KK can find it. Info on doing that can be found here...

    https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/nks-user-library.262959/

if you go to the Dropbox link in the first post, there is a file called info.txt that has good info in it...if you want to see what all the files needed look like, just download a random preset and go through the files.

its not an easy task, but if you follow the instructions, you can do it. there is also a program out there called Preset Magician that a user was developing, but it appears development stalled in Beta. Google "preset Magician" if you want to take a look at that.

and to save a preset in KK, load the Plugin, tweak to the desired sound, then go to File -> Save As...

    I hope that helps...

    peace,

Hmm! I get that the Lab one require special care in this regard, but what about the BBC Discover Orchestra?

I'm seeing it as a plugin, but want the instruments within the library panel. I thought I got them there briefly, but now it seems now I can only add the Spitfire directory under Prefs -> Library -> User, and then the sounds just show up segmented off into the person-icon library section :(.

Oddly, I was able to get all my East West sounds in the main section of the KK Library, and there's a group-by-vendor, so I know this is possible!

Thanks in advance for any pointers :)
