i love a good moan and i encourage others to have one too, I like to make it worthwhile though - I don't like to moan about the same thing over and over and oooooooverrrrrrr

i moaned about mutes and solo recording from about 2009, i also moaned about a lack of additional lfo and general synthesis power from about 2010, i stopped pretty soon - it gets a bit long

Dude, everyone here started out loving NI and their product. They've done and still do some amazing stuffs (reaktor's an unmatched fun). But some promises were not fulfilled

THEN, when these promises fell flat, we all asked very politely to NI to do something. And no answer was given

NOW, complaining feels just about the right thing to do.

but that has been happening for eons, it goes nowhere - all it does is drag a forum down down down.

Wrong, a subpar product an people moving out drags the forum down. People that complains is people that still cares and have hopes.

But you can of course blame the victims.

No - the forum used to be a pleasant place, it's the constant moaning that brings it down and that is why people leave

A victim has no choice whereas you do, to me it seems people like you are perhaps simply too scared to move on.

Admit your mistake, think of all the time that is non productive posting on this forum of a product that doesn't serve your needs, wouldn't it be better spent elsewhere?

Yeah, sure people leaves because 1 moaning thread out of each 30 that can be easily ignored.

Wake up and smell the coffee dude, people leaves because NI is not here after they promised they will, people leaves because NI underdelivers in several ways. Stop blaming customers.

every time i log on there is a million moan threads, 2.6 update - moan threads about a free bass synth, before that it's moan threads about drum synths, before that it's moan threads about factory library updates and before that it's why we get free monark, it goes on and on and on and it's constantly NO REALTIME TIMESTRETCH aaaarrrrrggghhhh how can i make music without this and a song mode????? ooooooh my empty life, maschine is awful :(:(:(-

i am not blaming anybody - i am just hoping for some rest from it, like i said i would just move on if it were me, accept it or don't.

You don't think moaning on a forum will get you anywhere really? SW dev is bigger than that.

Oh, now you mock people for expecting features that were promised, so adult.

Who are you to judge what features are important to others? prfff.

Yes they were promised, but there wasn't a time frame in that promise was there, so maybe behind the scenes that's what they are working on

...for instance, Kontakt for ages - but I have the impression, that a good portion of the Komplete owners among the Maschine users here aren't able to use what they paid for. I always regret, that there isn't more talk about, how to connect the dots, but I get it - frustration can cloud the mind. However, what kind of discussion culture could possibly improve the situation?

I mock yes because it has been a constant moan for about 7 years at least - not quite sure when they 'promised' it OR IF they even gave a date, did they give a date?

    You're comparing apples and oranges…

The sampler and kontakt have completely different purpose (you don't just fire up kontakt to sample a Vinyl) . The absence of realtime stretch in the sampler is even more startling that… it already exists

...yeah. I mean, it's so easy setting up a template Maschine group with Kontakt and routing the 16 Sounds to 16 prepared (and maybe even premapped) Kontakt instruments and - boom - realtime time-stretching. Time to move on. I can understand, that someone, who doesn't have Komplete, is missing this feature, but quite a lot of people here have Komplete. Another example: round-robins - people can use Battery for that. And if it'll be in Maschine one day - all the better, but until that day I can use this instead of venting all the time. That would be smart (or mature).

Maschine is far from perfect. So are the instruments of Komplete. And the interaction between both is nowhere near perfect (hell - yeah!!!). As is the host integration. But there are ways to make some things work, there are a lot of options available for a number of use-cases. But instead of talking about that (or asking specific questions in the forum), it's that constant bitching most of the time. Which also prevents Maschine to get better - if a good portion of the user base doesn't know, how to use the product (and in music production it's always about using something in conjunction with another tool), then it will also have an effect on the development, because people might ask the wrong questions. It can be seen here and on other NI fourms.

Anyway - sometimes I wonder, if some folks rather have pointless arguments on a forum, instead of actually improving something by finding practical solution together. But what do I know - maybe it's because it's Sunday and we all have too much time on our hands.
