If Ableton doesn't show testers anything that is not already public during testing then there is no reason for a Non-Disclosure Agreement because the features are already fully disclosed... Obviously, if users test things that are not public they have NDA's just like any other company in the world.

    Indeed.

The thing I like most about Maschine these days is that I am starting to realize I don't need it. Will probably just go back to Battery and invest in a Bitbox 1010

Obviously I know how it works, these were simple questions needing simple answers (and not more questions). Or no answers, my other points in my last post were far more important imho. How we get there I really don't give a darn, results are what counts.

No it's more like the annoying @ss people who come to your door day after day talking about voting.
All it does is become more and more annoying it doesn't make you more inclined to vote if you weren't going to or change your opinion on who you want to vote for.

This has a lot to do with why companies like NI don't really use forums to determine what's important to users because it quickly stands out that the complaints are really coming from a small group of users who repeat themselves over and over.

Here we have people in this thread posting as if the users are so unhappy that they are about to revolt and if we don't get real-time TC/E we are taking hostages.
While in reality if they NEVER added it most of us would still survive.

    We can say it a million different ways and some people will still never get it;
If the product is sub par and missing so many features why was the wasting time with it?

One thing to remember about the MPC is it's currently a heavily segregated software which is unbelievable to say the least.
They have units that run 2.0 and units that they they promised 2.0 but now look to be slowly changing that promise or delaying for a pretty unrealistic time..
They have standalone and controller mode but they have distinctly different feature sets neither of which make a lot of sense when you compare them.

I wonder how the complaining people would feel if NI dropped 3.0 with the features they desire but it was only for the mk3?

But this is the problem people seem to want it because other programs do it not because it's affecting their workflow which is why the fact it is missing doesn't make them move to something that has it.
Just because every other kid on the block buys cigarettes with their lunch money doesn't mean you should also.

Well, yes, as customer that’s exactly what I want and what NI promised, they should update what they are doing at least once per quarter, or once per month if they were really invested in the community as they said. If they are not doing it because they are late or because whatever other shameful reason and they fear the backslash then NI should grow some balls and still do it. First if they want to avoid shameful situations they should stop doing shameful actions (like promising features “soon” just after release a hardware to boost sales), but if they are still uncapable to deliver they should be open, explain why they are late, why the development were more complex than they expected or whatever, because unfulfilled promises + profits + silence = lies (in the head of many).

Out of interest, is anyone that's complaining about stuff in here in the beta program?

Feels like you're missing an opportunity to both make your feelings known in a more constructive way and see what's coming down the pike.

I was about to do it until I saw a NDA that basically binds me to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages if happen that someone hacks my computer and leak the information. NO THANKS, it is already enough to offer myself to work for free, I’m not going to sign abusive clauses on the top.

I don't feel like working for free TBH, but I'll admit that no. I don't know about their beta.

Yet I've searched the website and found nothing about that

I've never heard of beta testing compared to "working for free" before. Contributing to the quality and success of a product that you use regularly seems like an inherent reward to me.

Personally, I'd love to see the obvious passion on display here directed towards a process designed to improve the product.

End of the day though, to each their own.

Yeah I have contributed a lot of my time to the beta in a couple of specific areas. Not so much now though because children, study and work.

    And sign an NDA?
Those who sign up aren't allowed to express their full opinions here, the silence here is deafening.. so not bloody likely sorry.

Get a QA/Testing job and you may think different.

D one .. i said people were suckers because they complain and keep supporting the product.. also this a free forum no fee needed so if i jave something to say i should be able to say it no matter what the mods feel.. and who are the mods to say what i should think or do... get real.. this is the problem with the truth it hurts.. yes i promoted akai and it was the most traffic the site seen in a while.. you guys had to move it.. i will say it again 5 controllers and incomplete unimpressive updates..

Sorry dude, I work in IT and not only beta tester IS a real job, and it's a job pretty much nobody wants.

I've also spent nearly a decade contributing to the open sorce community and I can assure you : tracking a single bug and helping a team to solve it (by just writing tickets and testing) can easily take hours.

So, no "Contributing to the quality and success of a product that I use regularly" might seem like an inherent reward to you… but nope, iiiiit's not.

You're very right, tho. I've not spent that much time on a forum in nearly 10 years… BUT I've rarely been AS disappointed by a product as I was with the KK MK2 (therefore triggering all my Maschine 2 frustrations).

Don't worry, the KK MK2 goes back in store tomorrow, my rant will stop there.

Interesting... That would be amazing, i never though about it like that honestly, mainly because i never saw that happen ever, anywhere, thats an extremely high expectation, maybe even a bit naive.
The following question has no sarcasm whatsoever: What big Music software/hardware company do you know that has such a behavior?
