Second post in less than a day, but I'm really hoping someone can help me with this.

On my Nord modular, there is an Attack Hold Decay envelope which seems to function a bit different to the AHDSR envelope in reaktor.

As the envelope is being triggered by a drum trigger, and not by a keyboard, i am never holding down a note for a long time, rather just a short burst. On the Nord once the envelope is triggered, it is active for the attack time + the hold time + the decay time. In reaktor it won't go through the whole attack and hold phase unless they key is held down.

I tried to remedy this by adding a hold module in between the midi gate and the envelope trigger, but this causes the hold to be reset each time it is triggered. I want it to not retrigger until it has gone through the entire envelope phase.

If anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated. I hope i'm being clear enough in my description.

    Thanks

    -Tom

    Hi Tom,
did you also try the AR Envelope with a Hold module? I think your task can be done simply with some customization for the hold triggering.
Because the hold modules off event is quantized to the Control Rate, i would prefer a self-written, Sample Rate Clock exact Hold.

    Hi Quietschboy

For some reason, I hadn't noticed that the AR envelope works the way I wanted. It doesn't have Hold, and I'm struggling to combine it with a hold module in the way I want, but it will have to do for now. Once I've spent some time with Salamaderanagram's core tutorials. I might try making an envelope from scratch...
