AK1 and Service Manager

    Hi,

    I don’t see my ak1 in the service manager. I already installed the driver and the control panel and it work very good.
    But I can’t do the product registration for my ak1, because it isn’t listed and on the homepage as well.
    Please help me. I finally want to redeem the 25€ voucher, which I get by buying the ak1 and without the product registration it don’t work.

    ok, I have done it. After I filled in the serial number:

    "This product requires activation!
    Please activate this product using the NI Service Center which can be found in the respective program folder on your computer."

    But I don't see the ak1 in the service manager!

    That's for the original software app that came with it- which won't install on a new Mac, for instance. :~

    Let me ask a couple people...

    I downloaded an update for AK1, and when I opened it I was advised to manually remove the mapping application, so I removed everything in "/Applications/Audio Kontrol 1" (the app wouldn't launch anyway, kept crashing after a previous update) but now the application won't reinstall. If I understand you correctly, you're saying that the app only works on older versions of OS X, not my current 10.6.5 version? The interface itself seems to work alright without it, but no mappings.

    I have exactly the same problem as MiLo: my brand new AK1 works fine after installing the driver, but I can't see it in the Service Center. The Controller Editor is visible as activated though. I tried to register my AK1 on the site but got the same reply.

    There's a difference: I'm on Win7 x64, not OS X.

    Worked for me too, after a dozen attempts. I think the website had major problems yesterday, should be OK now :)

    Just went to register my AK1, what a mess... there isn't even an option for Win7 in the OS list, so I can't register it!

    Is this why I can't access tech support? I enter my username / password and it tells me my login details are incorrect...

    The OS field is not mandatory, ignore it (as I did).

    Your password problem comes from somewhere else I'm afraid :-/

    After a response from NI, the password issue is because the forum registration and product registration are two seperate entities.

    The number on the bottom side of the AK1 unit..is this the one that has a barcode above it and starts with NIAKxxxxxxxxxx?

    Doesn't work, checked spelling and everything.

    Very strange Leo... that is the number I entered to register. Hopefully NI support can help you out with this, they'vw solved all my issues quickly and efficiently, hope you have the same!

    I got to the end of the registration form wich seemed to work for all of you, and I am trying over and over again. Keep getting this one: "HTTP-feil 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request."

    Why can't Service Center recognize my Audio Kontrol 1? I want the Komplete 6 package and the voucher I was promised!

    Doesn't work with me either. No luck, no matter what I try. Then again, I don't know if there are any benefits to registering...probably not. People get vouchers from NI sometimes, I got one for 30€ via email when I registered to NI so probably wouldn't get anything for registering my AK1 anyway.

    I tried the contacting support via this site about my AK1 resetting all the time and my DAW going mute because of it, it's been weeks and no reply. So I'm not even bothering to report this to support.

    Somehow I managed to register the device, and I got the voucher. Don't ask me how. I found out the Audio Kontrol 1 device works as it should, but it doesn't work with Control Center at all. Screw Control Center.
