    Markus,

I have de-installed AP though the tedious process of finding every file associated with NI (why can Ni not include an uninstaller on the install disc?) , per instructions sent to me by email.

Then, to re-install NI I used the version on the disc, which of course has to be authorized. Then installed the update which was authorized again as well.

Then tried the "patch" with your attached files that were to go into my "akoustik Piano Library" folder, replacing what is already in "default" and "presets, " which is folder on another drive containing all of the samples, etc. Yes?

Same problem, "cannot load default config.."

    Am I missing a step?

    OS10.4.11, Logic 8, PPC G5.

It's now been 4 weeks, and not to be counter-productive, but I am waiting 3 to 4 days for email responses to questions.

Can we set up some sort of phone call? I believe I deserve at least that. I thank you for your efforts, but this is out of hand. No offense intended, but I get better service from smaller developers and products that cost less, with far less hassle to begin with.

    Hi Steve,

sorry about that! I just asked our support manager for somebody to contact you directly.

as far as I know there are no uninstallers on Mac only on PC.

    Hi all,

    just saw other answers below.

    * instructions go for MAC and PC

    * use the folders under AP library not the Default folder in the AP application folder

    * some of you are running into a Leopard problem I believe - the fact that you cannot close dialogs; you need to wait for the Leopard fix for AP - we are already working on this

    Much thanks Marcus,

I have a trouble ticket open if they wanted to reply to that, or directly at astronmr20@gmail.com

I think this must be a small step that I am excluding but cannot seem to put my finger on.

    Hi Steve,

according to my info you guys figured it out in the meantime, right?

seems to be a mixture of special characters in the path and a case sensitive harddrive format. both are not supported.

    Thanks for reviewing this thread.

In my case, the data drive with Akoustik Piano sample library on it had the same name as one of my folders.

There are a number of ways in which this could happen, including lack of attention by the system administrator, who more often than not turns out to be you.

    Markus,

You may have confused me with someone else. I have not received any communication.

Neither issue you mention was explained or offered as a reason for the problem. Can someone please contact me? If it is one of those issues or another issue, please be as specific as possible, and let me know as well if I need to use the "patch" that you uploaded. Step-by-step, even if includes re-installation again- every step please.

    Again;

    astronmr20@gmail.com

    Please.

    Thank you,

    Steve

    Unc,

    Much thanks!

That got it. Sounds fabulous. Was beginning to give up hope.

I thought I had tried your fix sequence already, but must have missed something. Tried again and that was the fix.. also used Markus's patch in the AP library files.

    Thanks Markus as well.

Great guys hope this thread helps more people too.

I got instructions from the technical support that I posted in the AP forum.
Please look at it if you still have difficulties.

I picked up akoustik piano yesterday at guitar center. The version on the installer disk was 1.0.0. I installed the program and all the samples and everything went great. I got it authorized and everything was working fine. So I thought I would update it to version 1.1.2 and thats when the fun started. After I updated I got the message that said can't load default configuration. It couldn't find the samples. I tried everything to get it to work but, it just would not find the sample folder. Then I read on the forums where someone said to uninstall it. So I found every NI file
and deleted them. I reinstalled everything and authorized it again
and now everything is working fine. I would really like to get the newest
update but I don't want to have to reinstall everything again. I just found the newest version 1.1.3 and downloaded it. My question is would I have to reload everything again if I updated to 1.1.3. I just don,t want to have to reload everything again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Chuck Floyd

To avoid problems updating AP you have to update the software in that order : 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3.

    Good luck.

    Hi all,

actually, we always include all pevious updates in the latest version so 1.0.0 -> 1.1.3 should be sufficient.

what you need to keep in mind is that somewhere along the way between 1.0.0 and 1.1.3 we introduced a new registration system, so if you take the update path above, remember to re-activate using Service Center afterwards.

the problems with previous updaters that you mention below, should now be fixed with the 1.1.3 installer according to our internal tests. is anybody still seeing problems?

    Markus,
So all I need to do is update to 1.1.3 and reactivate and that
will take care of the other updates also?

    Thanks,
    Chuck Floyd

    Markus...

Didn't have a chance to read this entire thread...but I'm running Komplete 3...& having the exact same problem (in my case, between NI & SONAR7).

Will the program update work for me?

Which version should I use; & does it include a text file w/ precise instructions (want to get this right on the 1st try...have been wasting a bunch of time on this problem; & I'm under the gun on my CD production schedule)

    Thanks very much,

    Please Markus,
its several hours I'm trying to installate Akoustik piano; I have Komplete 4 and I 've also downloaded the 1.1.3 version. NO WAY TO FIND THE SAMPLES!
Please could you write a precise instruction about HOW TO make the Akoustik P. installation? Step by step please, no other comments are asked. Here is MAC G4 OSX 10.4.11 Logic Pro 8.

    Markus...

    UPDATE...

[don't know what I was thinking when I typed it]...

    ...but...

    ...I'm running Komplete 5 (FIVE) !

    Sorry, man.

And based sort-of on what santulchix mentioned after me...if I could get precise instructions concerning the library PATH...while in the process of the update...I think that would cure my ills, once & for all.

Will certainly appreciate any help you can throw my (our) way.

    Thanx again,

    MoonMix
