One of the only reasons I purchased Komplete 5 was for AP! I would have to be honest and say I find myself using Omnisphere far more than anything NI has put out, even though their products are fantastic.

If NI doesn't include the Piano samples in Kontakt 4 it would seem to me an unbelievable mistake. I agree with the above post that the current pianos in Kontakt 3 are bearable but not all that believable. AP is the perfect amount of samples vs CPU and storage for a piano solution (unlike EWQL's 300 gigs).

NI, I hope you are reading this forum, I find this a little shady of you. I would never treat my customers like this.

One of your highest selling points in the past has been your support and phenomenal upgrade deals. spending 200$ for the Komplete 4/5 upgrade vs. the regular cost of 1200/1500$ plus new instruments etc. is a phenomenal incentive to purchase Komplete. Now you are dropping instruments, dropping the regular price and instead of us paying for 1/6th the price we are paying 1/3 the price for the upgrade, not nearly the deal it once was.

Kore is not exactly as a DAW, actually not even close. But I don't own Kore and have no plan to buy one. Ha, NI try to force me to buy Kore in order get B4 back? Not a chance. Yeah $160 upgrade for Komplet 6 is not the real price, I have to pay for whatever ransom they feel like to to get the AP sample library back. It's just not the same as installing a Komplete package and use AP. NI, please, I don't care about the AP UI, don't like it when it's performance sucks, but don't care about it if I have to use Kontakt. But please do include the sample libraries (or at least one of the grand) with the Komplete 6 because I do want to use a good piano without adding my own library. Doing without the B4, that sucks, and so is NI.

Read carefully: I didn't say Kore (which I own) is like a DAW, I said that, with regard to the plug-ins it uses, it is a host (exactly as DAW is), hence, if a plug-in won't load into a DAW because it isn't updated to a particular OS, it won't load into Kore either.

Just so: NI isn't trying to do anything like that, they're "just" discontinuing good products which aren't producing enough revenue, and you won't see them back anyhow, Kore or not.
Which is even worse, in my opinion.

N.I has taken up partnership with Scarbee, I believe..they have one the best reputations for acoustic sampled instruments going. Ni's offerings will still be strong for real vintage electric and acoustic instruments.
