    dear readers,
I am encountering two big problems with the use of the 1d with traktor pro 1.2.1

    1) the 4 buttons at the bottom (those underneath the jogwheel) don't light up when I press them.

    2) when I push the encoder on the upper right side side of the xone (the rightest most of the 4 in the top row), it sends the very same midi message of the button p (the rightest most of the 4 in the upper row of the middle section - i.e. the section with the small buttons right between the faders and the jogwheel)

just for the record: I have the p button in traktor mapped to cue play the track in deck d and to select its two hotcues; if I press the rightest most upper encoder, the same thing happens, even though I mapped it for something else.

I am not using any pre-mapped setting. I am doing my own.

    this is driving me crazy.

    please help :(

Are you using map 1(Traktor) or map 2(Ableton)? You should be using map1 for the use with NI Traktor (ref. page 14 on xone1 manual) and all the light should be illuminated all times.

maybe you should just remap the 2 controls.
go into settings, highlight the mapping for your "p"-knob,
and see if there is something else highlighted too.
then, go and highlight the other knob and doublecheck, if something else is highlighted too,
then, maybe re-learn those 2 controls.

i would start like this, to see if something was messed up with the -.tsi-file.

if they, for whatever reason, should really send the same message,
(check with some midi program, that lets you show the output of each knob)
there must be something wrong with your controller.
try to do a firmware update, maybe....

    just guessing,
    cheers - miles
